MetroParks and Land Protection
The MetroParks Natural Areas Protection Plan plan identifies and prioritizes land in Mahoning County that is desirable and appropriate for MetroParks protection and explores the options for its protection. This plan guides all land protection activities in the MetroParks including purchases, conservation easements, and other means of protections.
The MetroParks Land Management Plan lays out a decision making process for determining the best and most current land management practices for all MetroParks lands, including specific management plans for special or endangered habitats or species within the MetroParks. This plan guides all land management activities in the MetroParks from the larger natural areas, to the MetroParks Farm, to small wild places throughout MetroParks system.
